Le Cabanon Records is proud to present Horla first EP release.

'Orogenèse' is the French scientific term which refers to all the geo-dynamic processes of a mountain's formation - when the sedimentary part of the ground folds under the pressure of lithospheric, converging tectonic plates.

The diversity of the sonic universe shaped by Horla reflects an ambivalent vision of our environment, where 'Orogenèse' crystallizes a metaphysic idea of the "Whole". Animated by minimalistic dub and technoïd pulsations, surrounded by ambient and noise synthesis movements, Horla's miscellany takes its roots from an industrial disorder before rising loudly on more hospitable elevations.


A story written by Matthieu Haberard is included in the vinyl edition.

'Orogenèse' fait référence au terme scientifique décrivant les mécanismes géodynamiques de la formation des montagnes, lorsque les roches sédimentaires se tordent sous la pression des plaques lithosphériques convergentes.

La diversité des univers sonores créés constitue le reflet d’une vision ambivalente de notre environnement, où l’Orogenèse cristallise une idée métaphysique de l’Ensemble. Animé par des pulsations dub et minimalistes, soutenu par des mouvements de synthèses bruitistes et ambiants, le premier recueil de Horla s’enracine dans le désordre industriel avant de s’élever avec fracas sur des hauteurs plus hospitalières.

Un récit composé par Matthieu Haberard accompagne le disque vinyle.
